Singapore – February 11, 2011 – Anacle Systems today announced that Brunei Methanol Company has selected Johnson Controls (S) Pte Ltd (Johnson Controls Singapore) to implement the Anacle Enterprise Asset Manager (Anacle.EAM) to facilitate the management and maintenance of assets at the Brunei Methanol Plant in Sungei Liang, Brunei.
Brunei Methanol Company Sendirian Berhad (BMC) is a joint venture company between Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc., PetroleumBRUNEI and ITOCHU Corporation. It was established on 13th March 2006. It is located at Sungai Liang Industrial Park (SPARK) and it is Brunei Darussalam’s first mega industrial plant project ever since the country’s independence.
The Brunei Methanol Plant has a nameplate capacity of 2,500 metric tons per day of Federal Grade AA Methanol which is a key product for the chemical and petrochemical industry in the production of Acetic Acid (solvents), MTBE (octane enhancer), Formaldehyde (resins, adhesives) and others. Annually the plant is targeted to produce at least 850,000 metric tons of product methanol for export.
Johnson Controls won the open-bidding project against strong competition from established asset management solutions providers. When implemented, Anacle.EAM will comprehensively address Brunei Methanol Plant’s asset, maintenance, inventory and procurement management needs.
